The software GenoProof^® was developed by Qualitype AG resident in Dresden.

GenoProof^® is made for the evaluation of commercial PCR kits and inhouse PCR kits within the scope of paternity testing and kinship analyses.

The different assays for autosomal as well as X and Y-chromosomal STRs can be combined arbitrarily and be analysed together. GenoProof^® also supports the evaluation of coupled markers.

For the calculation of the likelihood values GenoProof^® uses an extensive, hand made population database which includes data for all supported markers and a great number of ethnic groups. Furthermore own population data can be defined for arbitrary markers and be involved into calculations.

The realisation of population studies and the estimation of DNA profiles within the field of forensics are supported by GenoProof^®, too.
